Professor Rainer Weiss (MIT, member of the LIGO Scientific collaboration) will give the 34th annual Bunyan lecture, entitled, "Exploring the Universe with Gravitational Waves." This talk will cover some of the history of gravitational waves, a dsecription of the LIGO instruments, data analysis techniques, measurement results, and the prospects for the future.
