Title: Emergent spacetime through indices
Abstract:
Holography relates some conformal field theories in d space-time dimensions to a weakly curved gravity theory in d+1 dimensional anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime. It is of interest to find criteria to determine which conformal field theories are holographically dual to weakly curved gravity in AdS space. In this talk, I will discuss various quantities computable for supersymmetric two-dimensional conformal field theories which give criteria as to whether or not they admit a large-radius gravity description. I will explore these quantities using symmetric orbifolds and the D1/D5 system as test cases.
