Physics Community Discussion (in place of colloquium)

Date
Tue December 4th 2018, 4:30pm
Location
Hewlett Teaching Ctr, Room 200

We are pleased to invite you to a community discussion focused on equity and inclusion in the physics department. The event will be held at the same time and place as the physics/applied physics colloquium on Tuesday, December 4th (there is no colloquium that week). All community members, including undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, staff, and faculty are welcome and strongly encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served in the Physics Lobby at 4:15p.m.

As part of this event, we will have very brief overviews about efforts that are currently underway to improve the inclusiveness of the department based on the long-term plan, which is available on the Physics website here. We will then break up into small groups for further discussion.
