Prof. Joachim Stohr, Director of the Light Coherent Light Source (LCLS) at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, will give the Robert Hofstadter Memorial Lecture on Monday evening, April 12, 2010 at 8:00 PM (preceded by a reception at 7:30) in Geology Corner, Rm. 105. Prof. Stohr's lecture will cover the creation of the first X-ray laser at SLAC, and the new era of scientific discovery that it has opened up.
