2009 Physics Alumni Reception

Thanks so much to those of you who attended our Physics alumni reunion reception on Friday, October 23, 2009, as part of the Reunion Homecoming Weekend.

The Physics department reception was attended by approximately 35 physics alumni from graduating class years ranging from 1949 to 1999!  Also in attendance were a number of Physics faculty, staff and current physics students. Physics faculty members Roger Blandford, Blas Cabrera, Sandy Fetter, Giorgio Gratta, Bob Laughlin, Hari Manoharan, Kam Moler, Doug Osheroff, Vahe Petrosian, Risa Wechsler and Stan Wojcicki enjoyed catching up with our alumni and their families.

Dear Physics Alumni,

On behalf of the Physics department, we wish to cordially invite you to attend a special physics alumni reunion reception on the Stanford campus during Reunion Homecoming weekend.  On Friday afternoon, October 23, 2009, from 5:30-6:30 PM, the Physics department will host a special reception for all Physics alumni and special invited guests.  This reception will be held in the lobby outside the Physics Main Office, between Varian Physics Bldg. and the Physics and Astrophysics Bldg.  Please plan to stop by for some refreshments, and meet up with your classmates and some of our Physics faculty, staff and students.  We will offer lab tours to those who are interested.  We hope that you will join us for what promises to be a very enjoyable occasion.
