2008 Physics Alumni Reception

Thanks very much to those of you who attended our Physics alumni reunion reception, held on Friday, October 10, 2008, as part of the Reunion Homecoming Weekend.

The Physics department reception was attended by approximately 40 physics alumni, in addition to a number of Physics faculty, staff and current students. Dept. Chair Patricia Burchat, and Physics faculty Tom Abel, Roger Blandford, Stefan Funk, Giorgio Gratta, Peter Michelson, Doug Osheroff, and Bob Wagoner enjoyed chatting with our alumni and their families.

Invitation Letter:

On Friday, October 10, 2008, from 5:30-6:30 PM, the Physics Department will host a special reception for all Physics alumni in the Varian Physics lobby.  Please stop by for some refreshments and meet up with your classmates and our physics faculty.  You may find some of your student-era professors at this reception.  We will have tours of the Varian labs, and you may also tour the Physics and Astrophysics building, next to Varian Physics.  We hope that you will join us for what promises to be a very enjoyable occasion.
